It will be held in the Marks & Spencer outdoor car park from tomorrow (July 17) until Sunday, July 23 and entry is free.

There will be a selection of BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles), PHEV (Plug in Electric Vehicles) and HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), and experts will be on hand to answer any questions.

There will be a Test Drive Zone where people will be able to try out new models – such as the new Jeep Avenger.

The event will see a range of electric and hybrid cars from manufacturers, including brands such as Fiat, Vauxhall, Alfa Romeo, Polestar, Abarth and Jeep.

It has been designed to help people navigate the rapid changes in the UK electric and hybrid car market.

Here is everything you need to know about all electric cars.

The emotorexpo has been created and developed by a British team which has previously run 35 car events in the UK and North America.

Its shows centre around letting visitors have free access to the latest vehicles in “high-quality locations”.

James Waugh, centre director at Bluewater, said: “We’re always looking for ways to diversify our offering at Bluewater, so we’re thrilled to be hosting the inaugural emotoexpo South East at the centre.

“We encourage guests to visit and explore the array of electric and hybrid vehicles which will be available for test drives, and take advantage of the expert advice on hand to demystify the ever expanding range of vehicles on the market as sustainable travel becomes a priority for our population.”

The emotorexpo South East’s creator, Graeme Carver, said: “It has been a real pleasure to create a new, free-to-visit show format that is intended to really help people though this period of dramatic change in the car market.

“During lockdown we were puzzled by the range of options coming onto the market and we designed the show to encourage people to come and see for themselves and consider their best options.”

It will be open from 11am-7pm Tuesday-Thursday, 11am-8pm on Friday, 10am-8pm on Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.
