A2 slip road now open at junction with M25 after motorcycle crash

Traffic flows were returning to normal tonight after long delays caused when a motorcyclist crashed on a London-bound slip road on the A2.

The incident happened at junction 2 with the M25 near the Dartford crossing. Police closed the road and Highways England said queues had stretched three miles back.

The A2 was reopened shortly afterwards but the slip road to the M25 clockwise remained closed while emergency service dealt with the incident. That has now reopened say highways officials.

Meanwhile there were also delays on the M2 after a crash on the M2 London-bound at junction 1 (Strood) which were causing tailbacks.
