Faversham manager Ray Turner is seeking to channel the spirit of 2013 in the Ryman League, Division 1 South run-in.
Town are back in action after a three-week break and took four points in three days to sit just two points outside the
play-off places.
Last season Town put together a superb run of form through the second half of the season, particularly on the road, to secure a play-off place and fell short only in the play-off final against Maidstone
United.
Turner feels Faversham’s pre-Christmas blip is behind them and is focused on putting points on the board to secure a return to the top-five.
Speaking after Tuesday’s goalless derby draw at Whitstable, Turner said: “I’m pleased – we’re in good form. We look a strong side again.
“Hopefully, we can come on strong again in the second half of the season like we did last year. It’s still tight up there, although the top-three seem to have sneaked away a
little bit.”
Town host Worthing at Salters Lane on Saturday. Midfielder Darren Marsden limped off inside an hour on Tuesday and will be assessed this week.
