KENT are to hold their annual meeting at the St Lawrence ground in Canterbury on Monday, March 13, starting at 7.30pm.

The club, which looks set to announce hefty 2005 trading losses next month, will also reveal plans to bring catering responsibilities for St Lawrence in-house after the termination of their agreement with Aramark.

County officials are hoping to follow the annual meeting with a presentation on ground redevelopment progress and details of their scheme for a hotel, fitness centre and new stand at their Canterbury headquarters.

Should the blueprints ultimately receive planning consent the ground improvements will be mainly financed by selling the Bat and Ball field for housing.

Kent’s chief executive Paul Millman said: "Obviously things are on-going and subject to change, but at this moment in time the plan is to talk the members through our latest thinking on the redevelopment after the annual meeting on March 13.

"There has been a lot of interest from potential partners who appear very enthusiastic about the project while our positive discussions with the council are on-going."

The future of cricket at Kent’s satellite ground in Beckenham looks set to be decided early next month.

Kent have pencilled three Twenty20 games onto the fixture list for the Worsley Bridge Road ground in June and July, but are seeking a long-term financial commitment from Bromley Borough Council before ratifying the matches.

Proposals go before Bromley councillors on Wednesday, February 1, and Mr Millman, who sees a long-term future for cricket in metropolitan Kent, added: "We are keen to get away from the feeling of uncertainty we have every year to cricket at our out grounds, so we have made proposals to the council that would, if approved, secure the future of cricket in Beckenham for at least three seasons."
