FOUR Canterbury Ladies have been selected in the England A hockey squad for two matches against France and a four-game Easter tournament in the Netherlands.

Natasha Brennan, Cathy Gilliat-Smith, Helen Grant and Natalie Seymour are in a 19-strong squad to face the French at Cannock on Sunday and Monday, while Susie Townsend joins up for the trip to Holland.

They play Holland twice, Belgium and Netherlands Antilles.

Head Coach Craig Parnham said: "The games gives us an opportunity to look closely at a number of players, several who are looking to earn selection for this summer’s Under-21 European Championships and others who aiming for the seniors.

"The three matches in Holland present us with a challenge as all the teams will be making their final preparations for the Olympic qualifying event next month."
