KENT'S new fast bowling prospect David Stiff has made a short visit - if that's the right term for a man of 6ft 7in - to his new headquarters.

The 19-year-old from Batley, who has joined the county from Yorkshire, had net practice with Kent captain David Fulton, England tourist Geraint Jones and other new team-mates for the first time.

This week Stiff flies to Nepal and then on to Bangladesh to contest the junior World Cup with the England Under-19s.

Kent could still have reports back on Stiff's performances as former county skipper Mark Benson is one of the umpires for the tournament.
