Canterbury recorded their first league win in five games after beating Havant 75-0 in National 3 South on Saturday.

The home side scored 30 points in the first 26 minutes to put the game beyond Havant's reach.

Carlton Littlechild combined with Pat Sykes to set up the first try, which was scored by Jack Davis.

The visitors then lost flanker Andy Short to the sin bin and paid a heavy price. While he was absent, Matt Pinnick crashed over from short range before Mike Melford scored his first try.

Sykes then added the fourth before Melford went over for his second.

In the second half, further tries from Cristoff Blom (2), Melford and replacements Dave Hillerby and Andy Pratt put the result beyond doubt.

Gert De Kock completed the rout after scoring behind the posts and adding his seventh conversion of the game.
