Kent v Middlesex

CHAMPIONSHIP chasing Kent should name an unchanged side for the fourth successive Frizzell Division 1 game despite a flu bug that has swept through the St Lawrence dressing room.

Sixth-placed Middlesex provide the opposition in Canterbury over the next four days as Kent bid to regain the lead of the division with a seventh win of the summer.

All-rounder Justin Kemp has flown back from his appearnces in the Afro-Asia Cup, but county team-mates Andrew Hall, Martin van Jaarsveld and Niall o'Brien are all struggling to shake off a flu bug.

Coach Graham Ford is also a victim, but all four should be fit to play their part in Kent's 13th game of the campaign.

The fixture receives further spice with the return of former Kent players Ed Smith and Peter Trego, now part of a new-look Middlesex side, while Simon Cook plays against his old club for the first time in a four-day game since his close-season move from Lord's.

Kent: Fulton, Key, van Jaarseveld, Walker, Stevens, Kemp, Hall, O'Brien, Patel, Cook, Khan.12th man: Neil Dexter.
