Michael Farrer admitted to frustration when he looks back at the opening half of Canterbury’s NOW: Pensions National Premier Division campaign, but has not given up on the hope of a return to the play-offs just yet.
Canterbury slipped nine-points behind the final play-off place after going down 7-4 at East Grinstead on Sunday, but Farrer hopes they can right some wrongs in their final seven games when the season resumes in February.
Farrer said: “When we look back at the season so far, there are a couple of games in particular, Hampstead, and Cannock, where we lost games we should have won.
“There were a couple more where the result really could have gone either way, so we could easily be sitting here still right in the thick of (a play-off battle).
“As it is we have seven games left, we are looking ahead, though we’ll not look at the table too much.
“There is no pressure on us and I know we are capable of winning all our remaining games, but we have to eradicate the mistakes which have cost us in the first half.”
