Ex-KCCC committee man dies

FORMER Kent County Cricket Club and MCC committee man Julian Faber has died at the age of 84. As chairman of Willis Faber Insurance and Cornhill Insurance, he was the driving force behind their years of sponsorship of England's home Test series.

Mr Faber, a member of Royal St George's Golf Club at Sandwich, served on Kent's committee from 1978-80 and assisted the club's finance committee. His funeral has taken place.
