THE annual Danny Gamble Memorial Squash Tournament takes place at Canterbury Squash Rackets Club from Friday May 30 to Sunday June 1.

A large entry (open until May 27) is expected for the Hatch Autos sponsored competition, with all player donations (£10 minimum) going to Cancer Research UK.

John Brewer, from Rodmersham, will be looking to extend his winning run in the event, following his triumphs in 2006 and 2007.

This year’s winner will bag a cool £200, with the runner-up taking £100 and the losing semi-finalists claiming £25 a piece.
