Woman sexually assaulted in Canterbury

A woman says she was sexually assaulted as she walked home in Canterbury in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police are appealing for information after incident in Kingsmead Road between 2.30am and 3am.

The 29-year-old had stopped for a rest when a man approached her to ask if she was ok. He then sexually assaulted her and grabbed her phone.

Minutes later he returned with her mobile, grabbed her again and then ran away.

The man was aged between 20 and 25 years old, 5ft 7in tall and of medium build.

He looked middle-eastern, had short black hair and spoke with a foreign accent.
