A 33-year-old woman was robbed of her handbag as she walked along an alleyway close to an Kent ambulance station.

The incident happened between North Holmes Road and Military Road in Canterbury at around 1am on Saturday.

The woman was approached from behind by a man who pulled at her handbag, forcing her to the floor. She began to scream and chased the suspect as he ran off with the bag.

It was later found close to Dragoon House, in Victoria Row, with its contents missing.
