Snow and freezing conditions may have caused chaos for thousands of people in Herne Bay and the district, but one dad and daughter have been lapping it up during the cold snap.

Arctic foxes Alan and Fleck at Wildwood Discovery Park are native to regions of northern Europe and able to cope with temperatures as a low as -50C and often find the UK a bit toasty.

But they’ve been feeling right at home in recent days as snow covers their enclosure at the park in Herne Common.

Spokesman Martyn Nicholls said: “During the rest of the year Alan and his daughter Fleck find modern Britain a bit on the warm side, but in the winter they really perk up.”

Arctic Foxes are just one of a huge range of animals found at the park.
