Whitstable Town finished their Ryman League Division 1 South campaign on a high with a 1-0 win over Met Police at the KRBS Belmont on Saturday.

Ian Pulman pounced on a loose ball in the area on six minutes to score the only goal of the game, slotting past a diving defender and goalkeeper.

At the other end the Oystermen's defence held firm against a side who had fired 27 goals past them in the past three seasons, with Kevin Fewell (pictured) rarely called into action in the Town goal.

The victory ensured caretaker manager Mark Lane finished an arduous campaign with four straight wins to see his side climb up to a final position of 18th.
