Whitstable lost a valuable point after a late defeat against fellow Ryman League Division 1 South strugglers Walton Casuals on Saturday.

The Oystermen were camped inside the visitors' half in the opening 15 minutes and Dave Cory, pictured, and Stuart Vahid went close before Gareth Cornhill saw an effort blocked in a goalmouth scramble.

After the break Kevin Fewell had to keep out two efforts from Leon Yarnie, but seven minutes from time Yarnie finally beat the Town keeper with a low drive into the corner after being afforded too much time and space.

There was still time for Dan Tanner to receive his second yellow card as Mark Munday's bottom-of-the-table side slipped to their 11th defeat in 14 league games.
