Do you fancy accompanying a giant to Liverpool? If so, read on!

Belle, the Canterbury giant, plus Lily from Herne Bay, Captain Sam from Whitstable, and Torrent from Littlebourne are going to the city for celebrations as part of its status as 2008 European Capital of Culture.

But Belle needs some human travelling companions during her journey up the M1 and M6 and organisers Strange Cargo are keen for anyone interested to come forward.

Volunteers would be required to travel up with Belle on Sunday, November 30, returning on either the evening of December 2 or during the daytime on December 3.

Strange Cargo will also be running a programme of workshops and initiatives with young people in schools around Canterbury from the start of November to prepare for the visit, with a team of young performers also travelling up with the giant entourage to take part in the events programme.
