Update: Woman dies after fall from Whitstable window

The woman who fell from a top floor flat window in Whitstable town centre on Saturday morning died on Sunday night.

Sascha Bishop, 35, who lived in the town, suffered serious head injuries in the fall from a window over Clark's florists in Oxford Sreet.

She was airlifted to a specialist unit at the Royal London Hospital where her mother and sister, Stephanie and Charlotte Bishop went to be with her.

A close friend, Lisa Davies from Seasalter said her death had shocked and saddened her many friends.

She said: "She was a lovely person with a heart of gold.

"She had some issues in her life and I took her in when she was homeless for a while.

"But she was getting her life together and had done a college course.

"She was a real character who adored animals and could be a bit of a livewire.

"But she is going to be sadly missed by the many people who loved her and our thoughts are with her family."

Three men arrested and questioned by police following the incident have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the fall or who has information.
