Unexploded bomb found in Hoath near Canterbury

Bomb disposal experts were called to a field near Canterbury after a treasure hunter discovered a device.

The metal detectorist alerted emergency crews after finding the bomb in Ford Hill, Hoath at 10.30am.

Explosive ordnance disposal teams were sent to the scene and made the device safe.

Police were unable to say if a controlled explosion was carried out.
