Police close the A290 between Blean and Whitstable following an accident on Monday evening

A three-car crash between Blean and Whitstable closed the busy A290 early on Monday evening.

Two drivers were taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate following the collision outside the John Roberts Business Park on Pean Hill, near Blean around 4.50pm. Both were not believed to be seriously injured.

Traffic from both Canterbury and Whitstable had to be diverted as emergency services attended. Bus passengers heading to Whitstable had to be transferred on to a replacement service.
