Two crashes on A2 near Canterbury

Two crashes on the A2 sparked delays this morning.

The first incident, at Canterbury heading coastbound, happened just after 6.45am.

One vehicle was involved in the collision near the A28 Thanington Road and although ambulances were called, no serious injuries were reported.

The second crash - at 7.15am - resulted in a car smashing into the central reservation on the London-bound carriageway in Harbledown.

Ambulance crews and police were also called.

No injuries have been reported.

Both incidents have been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
