TV CHEF Gary Rhodes has been made an honorary fellow of Canterbury Christ Church University.

The Michelin star chef received the honour during the University’s graduation ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral.

Mr Rhodes, who was brought up in Gillingham and studied catering in Thanet, said: "I feel very proud to be recognised in this manner by the University.

"Having lived, been schooled and studied further education in Kent, it is an honour to receive such a prestigious award for my involvement within the culinary world."
