Teenager struck on pedestrian crossing

A 17-YEAR-OLD who was airlifted to a London hospital after being hit by a car in a Kent city is expected to be discharged today.

Police say the boy was struck at about 8.30am yesterday while on a pedestrian crossing in Old Dover Road, Canterbury.

He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital with a suspected fractured pelvis and serious bruising

The road was closed for several hours while officers conducted an accident investigation.
