Teenager stabbed in chest on tow path

A BOY of 15 was stabbed with a knife after an altercation broke out among teenagers on a tow path.

It happened on a pathway leading to Kingsmead, Canterbury, on Saturday at around 6pm.

The teenager, from Canterbury, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate with a wound to his chest and was kept in for observation.

It started when two walked along the tow path towards the coach park and passed a group who shouted verbal abuse at them.

A 19-year-old man from France was arrested by police in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail until February 18 pending further inquiries.
