Tasty treats draw thousands to Eurofair

A real taste of Europe came to Canterbury for the Eurofair in the Dane John Gardens at the weekend.

Thousands of visitors were drawn to stalls selling quality meats, cheeses, breads and sweets from across the continent.

Local producers also featured prominently with a row of stalls selling everything from cider and apple juice to meats and cheeses.

Among the visitors was Paul Robinson, 33.

He said: “It’s brilliant for Canterbury and shows that the council can do something worthwhile for the city when it turns its mind to it.”

The event was jointly organised by Canterbury City Council and Produced in Kent, an organisation which promotes local food and drink.
