High speed police chase ends in arrest of suspected drug dealer in Canterbury

A police chase in which speeds of up to 120mph were reported ended in the arrest of a suspected drug dealer.

Fabio Saraiva, 27, allegedly led officers on the pursuit along the A2 in Canterbury on Saturday.

The vehicle was brought to a controlled stop by officers, who seized drugs with a street value of about £10,000 from inside.

Saraiva, of Crofton Park Road in London, has now been charged with possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.

He was remanded in custody and is due before Folkestone magistrates today.
