Suspect, 44, accused of numerous village burglaries near Canterbury

A man suspected of carrying out five village burglaries in recent weeks will be hauled before magistrates.

Jamie Slingsby, of no fixed address, was arrested on Tuesday evening as police suspect he was behind multiple break-ins between December 21 and January 3.

The 44-year-old has been charged with carrying out five burglaries in Petham and the surrounding villages near Canterbury.

He is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Thursday 11 January.
