Crash closes the A291 Sturry Hill near Canterbury

A road was closed and a woman is in the care of paramedics following a multi-vehicle crash this morning.

The incident happened on the A291 Sturry Hill near Canterbury at about 11.45am today.

A female passenger was checked over by an ambulance crew.

The road was shut in both directions while work was underway to recover the three cars.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a collision on Sturry Hill in Canterbury at around 11.45am today.

“Officers attended the scene which involved three vehicles.

“A road closure remains in place whilst the cars are recovered.

“One woman, a passenger in one of the cars, is being checked over by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.”
