The 37-year-old was reported to have left home driving her car and was believed to be in the Holly Hill area near Snodland.

Search and rescue teams, including a helicopter, were seen in the surrounding area of open fields and woodland, including Ryarsh and Birling, this afternoon.

Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed crews were assisting Kent Police with a search.

But this evening, a police spokesman said the search was over, adding: "A 37-year-old woman reported missing from Canterbury has been found safe and well.

"Our officers would like to thank all those who assisted with their search and shared the appeal."
