Police in appeal for witnesses to attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after a stone was thrown at a woman wearing Islamic dress in Herne Bay.
The 26-year-old was walking through Central Parade with her mother-in-law on Monday at 8.30pm when the object was hurled at her, in what the woman believes was a racially motivated incident.
A group of young people, aged about 15 to 16, were in the road at the time.
Det Con John Tharp is urging witnesses to contact him on 01227 744786.
