Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted behind a pub in Littlebourne Road, Canterbury, on Friday night.

It happened at 11.30pm. The 37-year-old man had earlier been in the Mill House Tavern.

He was taken to hospital and was released after treatment to a head injury.
