Man, 20, killed after being hit by car in St George's Place near Odeon and Waitrose, Canterbury

A 20-year-old pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a car in Canterbury.

The man was struck by a Dacia Logan in St George’s Place, which leads onto New Dover Road.

It happened at 10.15pm on Wednesday, November 4.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a London hospital, where he later died.

Police have launched an investigation into the death and are urging witness to come forward.

The vehicle involved was a dark-coloured Dacia Logan.

St George's Place is the section of road between St George's Roundabout - the junction by the Odeon cinema - and the traffic lights up by Waitrose.
