Young actors and singers pooled their talents for a joint performance in front of an audience of 340.

Six to 18-year-olds attending Stage Antics theatre classes in Faversham, Ashford and Herne Bay performed Kaleidoscope at the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury, on Saturday.

Teacher Rebecca Reaney said the show was a great success.

“It was fantastic, the children had a long day and worked very hard. We put all three classes together with their separate all singing all dancing abilities, beginning and ending with a rendition of Lean on Me.

“Some of the young people had never performed on a stage let alone at the Gulbenkian in front of 340 people and no one got stage fright.

“Some of them want to go into the business, some of them do it for fun and some want to develop confidence – there’s a whole mix which is really special.”

Stage Antics is running theatre schools in the school holidays.
