Monkeys at Howletts Wild Animal Park embrace pancake day

Pancake day may have crêped up unaware on some of us, but monkeys at a Kent wildlife park couldn't wait to tuck into their treats today.

Gibbons and macaques at Howletts Wild Animal Park have been tearing their way through the sweet grub.

With sharing not exactly on their Shrove Tuesday agenda, the inquisitive primates take a varying approach to eating their pancakes - with some looking relaxed and care-free, while others try their hardest to snatch and stuff down as much as they can.
