Whitstable Town are rooted to the bottom of the Ryman League Division 1 South after a disappointing 5-0 loss to Met Police at Imber Court on Saturday.

The start was delayed by the late-arrival of the officials but after 19 minutes the Oystermen found themselves 2-0 down against a team who have beaten them every time they have met since they were promoted to the division.

However despite a bright spell on top and Stuart Vahid going close, the Police increased their lead on 62 minutes and made it 4-0 five minutes later before adding a fifth.

It would have been more were it not for the returning Kevin Fewell's, pictured, performance in the Town goal.

Mark Munday's side face an important run against other struggling sides over the coming weeks.
