Neil Redding becomes
kmfm’s new voice of breakfast for Canterbury,
Whitstable and Herne Bay from Monday.

Neil, better known as Redders,
takes over the reins from Bob Mower, who moves to the new Kent
Talks evening show from Mondays to Thursdays, between 10pm and
1am.

The father-of-one has been with
kmfm since 2006 and most recently, presented the
drive time show in Ashford and then across the east of the
county.

A former Home Office civil servant
for 23 years, he began his passion for broadcasting in hospital
radio in Ashford.

Born in Willesborough, he also
lived in Shadoxshurst and Wye during his childhood.

Neil, 45, is looking forward to the new opportunity.

He said: “It’s a great challenge.

“Canterbury is a magnificent city
and there’s not many people around the world who won’t have heard
of its history and heritage.

“Whitstable and Herne Bay are also
great areas of the county with some great people too. I hope we can
involve as many local people in the show as possible and make it
truly interactive.

“I’m looking forward to getting out
into the community and trying to make the show part of as many
people’s day as possible.”

As well as lots of information
about the latest local events and attractions, there will also be
the latest traffic and travel, plus the latest local, national and
international news from the kmfm news centre.

You can hear Neil’s show weekdays from 6am to 10am on 106fm or online at www.kmfm.co.uk
