Faversham Town boss Ray Turner has promised his side will attack Folkestone when the county rivals meet for the second time in five days on Saturday.

The Lilywhites slipped out of the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday after losing 3-2 to Invicta in extra time, but the manager drew encouragement from the display. Justin Ascheri and Adrian Stone were on target as Town twice came from behind to level, before James Everitt sent Folkestone through.

A trip to Cheriton Road in Ryman League, Division 1 South offers Faversham the chance to gain revenge and Turner, pictured, is relishing the challenge.

He said: "I was pleased with the performance and we were unlucky not to come away with a win. We matched a side that’s probably the strongest we’ve played this season and it shows how far we’ve come that we’re looking forward to taking them on again.

"It’ll be tough down there but we’re looking to win. We’re in good form and we’re not going there to defend."

Simon Brown is on holiday and misses the trip to Folkestone, although James Peacock is available after suspension. Ashley Brown could continue in the heart of defence.
