Police and paramedics called to a house in Wife of Bath Hill on Canterbury's London Road Estate after man is stabbed

A 24-year-old man is recovering in hospital today after he was stabbed in Canterbury on Thursday night.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after police and paramedics were called to a house in Wife of Bath Hill on the London Road Estate at 10pm.

The victim is in a stable condition and his injury is not life-threatening.

A 45-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Police say he is known to the victim.

In a separate incident, officers were also called to Rhodaus Close next to Canterbury East train station at 5am on Friday morning after a man was assaulted.

The 22-year-old was taken by air ambulance to the King's College Hospital in south London but has since been discharged.

Daniel Kaur, 22, of Sussex Avenue on the Spring Lane Estate, was arrested in connection with this incident and has been charged with assault and possessing a knife in public.

He was due to appear before magistrates in Folkestone on Saturday morning.
