Canterbury: Incident in Whitehall Road sparks Kent Police appeal

A man who made sexually-inappropriate comments to a 10-year-old girl is being hunted by police.

The incident took place on the footbridge over the River Stour at Whitehall Road, Canterbury, at 6.30pm on Monday.

Sgt Lee Thompson said: "The man was abusive and made sexually inappropriate comments to a couple and their 10-year-old daughter before walking up the embankment towards Rheims Way.

He is described as baby-faced, is aged about 19 and has a local accent.

He is slim, about 5ft 8in tall and has mousey brown hair which is short on the sides and longer on top.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, black trainers, dark blue jeans and a black belt with a large silver square-shaped buckle. He was carrying a black shoulder bag.
