Man injured in accident on Kingsmead Road near Sainsbury's and Kingsmead Leisure Centre

A man was taken to hospital following an accident involving a car and motorbike.

Officers were called to Kingsmead Road, Canterbury, following reports of a collision involving two vehicles just after 8.20pm yesterday.

The road was closed in both directions between Sainsbury's supermarket and Kingsmead Leisure Centre while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 8.23pm on Saturday 28 September 2019 to reports of a collision in Kingsmead Road, Canterbury involving a car and a motorbike.

"Officers attended the scene alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a local hospital with injuries."
