A man has died after apparently falling out of a top floor window at a Kent hospital.

Emergency services were called to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital at Canterbury at 9am Monday, and say it is not clear whether the man fell accidently or jumped.

The incident was seen by witnesses and police say they are not looking for anyone in connection with it.

Jim Murray, a press officer at the hospital, said he could not provide any information about the incident.

The case has been handed to east Kent coroner Rebecca Cobb. The age of the man is not known and he has not been named.
