Appeal after jewellery raid in Orchard Close, Littlebourne

A CCTV image of a man has been released by detectives hunting a burglar who broke into a house and stole gold and diamond jewellery.

It happened in Orchard Close, Littlebourne, during the day on Friday, January 12.

But the investigation has now resulted in CCTV footage of a suspect which police hope will lead to his identification.

The missing items include a gold necklace with a pendant featuring a heart and cross design, a gold necklace with a gold flower pendant with a clear diamond stone centre, a pair of gold stud earrings with a flower design and a clear diamond stone centre, plain gold bangles and a medium sized gold chain with red bead-like stones.

Officers have conducted a number of inquiries, including an earlier witness appeal, and are now appealing for help to help identify a man they want to speak with.

They have also issued an image of one of the items reported stolen.
