Crimes against apostrophes: do we need a grammar vigilante in Canterbury district?

Rogue apostrophes in the Canterbury district have been placed under the microscope following the emergence of a self-styled grammar vigilante.

The anonymous grammarian, who works under the cover of darkness, made national headlines this week after using a bespoke tool to fix business signs across Bristol.

His exploits have since highlighted grammatical errors in the Canterbury area – including an erroneous “Golf’s” advert outside the Volkswagen dealership in Broad Oak.

Another mistake advertising “100’s of camping offers” at the Blacks clothing store in the city centre has also been spotted.

In Whitstable, a sign outside the Estuary View Medical Centre is missing an apostrophe, directing drivers to a “visitors car park”.
