Giovanna Fletcher spotted in crowd at Canterbury's Marlowe Theatre pantomime, Sleeping Beauty

I'm a Celeb winner Giovanna Fletcher has been spotted among the crowds at the popular Marlowe Theatre panto.

The actress, blogger and author was supporting her sister-in-law Carrie Hope Fletcher, who stars as the villain in the Canterbury venue's retelling of Sleeping Beauty.

The 37-year-old - who is married to McFly star Tom Fletcher - took two of her children, Max and Buzz, to hiss and boo at their aunt on Saturday.

Giovanna shared a post on Instagram praising the "brilliant" show, and described her talented sister-in-law's performance as "all kinds of epic".

But she revealed her rock star husband and middle son Buddy had to stay at home as they were feeling under the weather.

"I took Buzz and Max to see their Aunty Carrie in panto the other day," she posted.

"While poorly Tom and Buddy had some rest at home we headed to Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre to see Carrie Hope Fletcher play her first ever villain."

Essex-born Giovanna - who has dipped her toe in theatre, television and music work - revealed to fans she "really gave the audience participation sections some welly!"

She said the show was "full of silly puns and brilliant slapstick humour", including the classic ghost-gag bench and wheelbarrow of jokes.

She liked it so much, she questioned why pantomimes are restricted to the winter months, adding: "Is there a reason we don’t see them in the summer? Anyone know?"

The mum-of-three is the host of parenting podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, which grew in popularity after she interviewed Kate Middleton about her own motherhood experiences.

She is also a familiar face to young children, having presented the CBeebies series The Baby Club and The Toddler Club.

West End star Carrie plays baddie Carabosse in the classic retelling of Sleeping Beauty, which runs at the Marlowe until January 8.
