Five men arrested after serious assault in Faversham

Five people have been arrested following a serious assault on two men in Stonebridge Way, Faversham, just after midnight on Saturday.

A group of young men set upon the two victims as they walked through an alleyway, which leads from Stonebridge Way to Monks Close.

One of the victims needed hospital treatment following the incident after sustaining facial injuries.

All those arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries until 10 March.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to come forward with information.
