Fire crews tackle blaze at Canterbury warehouse

Extensive damage at
warehouse after fire

Fire crews have now put out a fire which
spread through a Canterbury warehouse.

At its height around 35 firefighters tackled
the blaze at a storage unit in Marshwood Close, off Sturry
Road.

It started around noon today, but was out by
1.20pm.

The operation has now been scaled down to two
fire engines, with officers now damping down and clearing smoke
from the building.

The fire is believed to have started in
the roof of the building, which is used to store vehicles.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service says no
casualties have been reported.
