Faversham boss Ray Turner believes his squad are ready for the season after making two new forward signings.

Experienced Adrian Stone, pictured, has agreed to join the Ryman League Division 1 South side, while left-sided player Aaron Quain has rejoined the Lilywhites from Margate.

Both will give Turner the extra options he wants as he seeks to bring more goals to Salters Lane.

Turner said: "We’ve had to be patient over the summer to get the players in who I wanted and we’ve now got the options that I was looking for in the squad. It’s great that Faversham are able to attract these types of players."

Stone, who ended last season with Tonbridge Angels, has been training with Margate during pre-season.

The 29-year-old has previously been with Carshalton, Ashford Town, Maidstone, Bromley and Welling.

Quain, 22, had a brief spell with Faversham in the 2009-10 season and made a scoring debut for the club in Tuesday’s 5-0 victory over Ashford United.

That win came off the back of a 5-1 defeat to Margate last weekend.

Faversham complete their pre-season at Chatham on Saturday.
