Paddy Nolan: Child fights for life after accident on A2 near Canterbury

A child is still fighting for their life after an accident which claimed the life of a man.

The toddler and their mum were airlifted to different London hospitals after the accident on the A2 near Canterbury on Thursday.

A man - named locally as Paddy Nolan - was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Nolan and his family are thought to have been in a black pick-up truck towing a caravan at the time of the crash.

Those who knew him have taken to social media to pay their respects.

Today, a close family member took to social network Facebook to say the child is in a very serious condition, while the mum was having an emergency operation.

A black-pick-up truck was seen flipped onto its side, near to what appeared to be the wreckage of a caravan.

At one stage both carriageways of the busy road were closed, with traffic heavily backed up in both directions.
