Car crushed by truck in crash at A28 Wincheap roundabout in Canterbury

A car has been crushed by a truck at a busy city centre roundabout this morning.

The accident happened on the A28 Wincheap, Canterbury, at about 11.20am.

Pictures have revealed the extent of the damage caused to the car, which shows smashed windows and crumpled bodywork.

The accident had been causing delays in the area but the vehicles have since been moved.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers attended and assisted with traffic management and the recovery of the vehicles involved."

The ambulance service attended the scene but no one needed to be taken to hospital.
