Canterbury Rugby Club suffered their biggest ever National League defeat as they were crushed 50-8 at a rampant Ealing on Saturday.

The home side included three former Canterbury players and ran in eight tries against the visitors who had no answer to the west London side's slick passing rugby. They also paid the price for having a player sin-binned in each half.

A Phil Gibson penalty was all they had to show for first half performance which saw Matt Pinnick forced off through injury, prop Jimmy Stanford yellow-carded after accumulated team offences and Ealing build a 19-3 lead.

After the break Mark Livesey received a yellow-card and the home side continued to extend their lead.

A late Peter Kelly try was nothing more than a consolation for Canterbury.
